Partnerships Mentara
A living bridge between Brazil and Portugal
Mentara (Portugal) and Cochicho das Águas (Brazil) have joined forces in a partnership that arises from the deep recognition of affinities: in their vision of the body, education, listening and caring for life.
Two schools that, in different geographies, cultivate the same fertile soil — where presence, sensitivity and transformation become living practices, and not just ideas.
This collaboration aims to share and disseminate training, experiences and experiences that cross borders, inviting people from different territories to immerse themselves in proposals that honor the body as a place of wisdom, the earth as a teacher and the soul as a guide.
More than an institutional alliance, this is an affective, organic and coherent partnership, between two projects that move forward with ethics, intention and deep listening to what is alive.
We believe that, by joining forces, we expand the reach of our proposals and open space for transformative encounters between communities in Brazil, Portugal and other parts of the world.
Soon, on this page, you will find the training courses and events co-created through this partnership.

A shared path to training in Integrative Somatosensory Psychotherapy
Mentara (Portugal) and Centro Besai (Barcelona) have formed a strong partnership based on a deep affinity of vision, practice and values. The schools share a commitment to sensitive education, rooted in the body, listening and presence — in the service of human care and transformation.
As a result of this collaboration, a proposal was born: Master in Integrative Somatosensory Psychotherapy, which combines the richness of two training programs.
This course offers complete training, with shared certification, which integrates the depth of body and somatic work with the foundations of contemporary integrative psychotherapy.
The Mentara–Besai partnership allows students from Portugal and Spain to have access to a high-quality program, with faculty from both schools, and a truly international and relational learning experience.
If you are looking for training that combines rigor, sensitivity and coherence — both in knowledge and in being — this could be the home for you.
1. Unique and innovative training with a holistic approach to the human being
This Master's degree offers a holistic vision that integrates body, mind, emotion, bond, soul and consciousness, incorporating contributions from neuroscience, epigenetics, pre- and perinatal psychology and spirituality. An opportunity for training in cutting-edge psychotherapy focused on somatic memory and deep human development.
2. Double international degree and access to European and global certifications
Obtaining a joint diploma awarded by two leading centres: Centre Besai (Barcelona) and Mentara (Lisbon). In addition, it meets the requirements for the European Certificate in Psychotherapy (ECP) and the World Certificate in Psychotherapy (WCPC), expanding your professional opportunities at an international level.
3. Experiential, clinical and transformative approach
More than just academic training, this master's degree is a profound experience of personal and professional transformation. Through clinical practice, supervision and experiential bodywork, you will integrate theoretical, experiential and relational learning.
4. Wide range of professional opportunities in multiple contexts
Prepares professionals to work in individual and group contexts, with applications in health, education, social intervention, family and business. It will develop tools applicable in a variety of environments where the body is a vehicle for transformation and healing.
5. In-person weekend training with a flexible structure
Designed for working professionals, with an intensive face-to-face modality one weekend per month, allowing a gradual integration of knowledge without giving up their professional or personal life.
This training is aimed at psychologists, doctors and psychotherapists of modalities recognized by the EAP, as well as professionals in the areas of education, health, humanities and sciences, in short, professionals in the helping relationship who regularly work with the body as a vehicle of treatment to achieve personal transformation and bring people closer to health and well-being. In the case of other professionals in the areas of education, health, humanities and sciences, application will be permitted provided that they are selected in the assessment interview with the pedagogical coordinator and successfully complete (by the end of the second year) the four basic Psychology subjects required by the EAP: Psychopathology, Personality Theories, Developmental Psychology and Diagnostic Techniques.
International certification and professional recognition
At the end of the training, you will obtain a double international qualification issued by the two schools that organize the master's degree:
Centre Besai (Barcelona) and Mentara (Lisbon).
