Mint (Portugal) and the Besai Center (Barcelona) come together in a solid and international partnership, born from a deep affinity of vision, practice and values. The result is a unique training program: Dual Specialization in Integrative Somatosensory Psychotherapy.

This state-of-the-art training program combines contemporary integrative psychotherapy with a deep somatic approach, centered on the body, listening, presence, and human experience. It is a relational, clinical, and transformative program – with joint certification and a faculty comprised of specialists from both institutions.

Integrative Somatosensory Psychotherapy is a specialization within
a psychophysical field that draws from pre- and perinatal psychology, enriched
due to advances in neuroscience, epigenetics, and humanistic psychosomatics. It integrates

Objectives

  • To understand the main theoretical concepts in the field of somatic psychotherapy.

  • To apply specific intervention methods and techniques from somatic psychotherapy to psychotherapeutic intervention based on different authors and theoretical approaches.

  • To analyze in depth the theoretical foundations of somatic psychotherapy.

  • To explain the different perspectives of intervention, as well as the assessment of the body in clinical intervention. To develop experiential skills in the context of relationships with others and to deepen knowledge.

Certification and accreditation

At the end of the course, trainees receive dual international certification.

This training is aimed at professionals working in the fields of health, aid relations and education:
• Psychologists and psychotherapists (with modalities recognized by the EAP)
• Doctors and healthcare professionals
• Educators, body therapists, professionals in the humanities and sciences

It is also accessible to candidates without prior training in Psychology, provided that:

She is a Clinical Psychologist, Somatic Psychotherapist, Couples Psychotherapist, Naturopath, and Homeopath. A pioneer and visionary in the field of holistic human health.

Besai Center

Psychologist and integrative humanistic psychotherapist, graduated from the University of Barcelona (1998), with a long career dedicated to individual and couples psychotherapy, university teaching and professional training.

With specializations in Dance Therapy, Biosynthesis, NLP, somatic psychotherapy and epigenetics, she has been working since 2002 in various clinical and academic contexts.

Co-director of the Centre Besai, professor at the Erich Fromm Institute and collaborator in courses on education in human values, she understands psychotherapy as a profound encounter between human beings.

Her practice stems from a love of life, inspiration received from mentors, family, and patients, and a desire to accompany individuals on paths of personal transformation. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapy and the Association for Education in Human Values, and a psychotherapist accredited by FEAP.
