To the consultations for young people and children, Led by clinical psychologist Joana Mendes, they offer a safe and welcoming space for children and adolescents aged 0 to 18. With a therapeutic approach adjusted to each stage of development, these consultations aim to help deal with emotional, social and behavioral challenges.

In addition to direct support for young people, the service includes support for parents, educators and health professionals, promoting a collaborative network that reinforces children's emotional growth and mental health.

Childhood and adolescence are phases marked by intense transformations. When emotional, behavioral or social difficulties arise, specialized intervention can make all the difference.

Consultations with

Joana Mendes

Clinical Psychologist (Full member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association no. 14097), holds a degree in Psychological Sciences and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with extensive experience in monitoring children, adolescents and adults, working in national and international contexts. She has developed her work in several clinics and institutions, focusing on psychological assessment (cognitive and emotional) and therapeutic monitoring. She has specialized training in Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy and Somatic Psychotherapy, approaches that she applies in her work to help children and young people deal with emotional, social and academic challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, she has coordinated and supervised humanitarian and child protection projects in Portugal and in countries such as Mozambique and South Sudan, developing psychosocial support and mental health promotion programs. Her professional career reflects a deep commitment to the psychological well-being and healthy development of children and adolescents.
