Grief is a universal experience that arises in the face of different types of loss—not only the death of someone significant, but also relational losses, health problems, identity issues, or the loss of life plans. Although it is part of the natural cycle of human experience, the grieving process can take different forms and intensities, and in some cases, it can become prolonged, complicated, or traumatic.
In clinical practice, therapeutic support for grief requires sensitivity, theoretical knowledge, and specific tools that allow for assisting the individual in the process of integrating the loss and reconstructing meaning.
This course offers an integrative approach to the grieving process, articulating contemporary theoretical models, scientific research, and clinical practice. Different manifestations of grief, criteria for identifying complicated grief, and psychotherapeutic intervention strategies appropriate to different contexts will be explored.
Throughout the training, participants will deepen their skills to support loss processes in an ethical, culturally sensitive, and clinically effective manner, also integrating self-care strategies for professionals who work with grief and loss.
With the exception of attending the specialization course in Biointegrative Somatic Psychotherapy or the Double Specialization in Somatosensory Integrative Psychotherapy, the remaining courses do not require an interview.
Most courses have different formats (in-person, online and hybrid) and students can select the format, as long as it is available.
Mentara is a training center certified by DGERT and duly accredited by EAP (an international organization), and all students will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.
Yes, in most courses it is possible to suspend attendance, and to do so you must request the Mentara course regulations.
